Little Consulting Company Just Got Better: New Look and Expanded Services

You make us better at Little Consulting Company (LCC), so we’re listening, learning, and growing! We pride ourselves on being responsive to the needs of the community, our clients, and the sectors we serve. We’ve been leaning in and listening to ensure we are providing the services that best meet the needs of nonprofit, philanthropic, and social impact leaders.

We know that leaders and teams are exhausted as we emerge from a global pandemic, live through a racial reckoning in the country, and contend with an increasingly divisive political environment while continuing to do mission-based work. This fatigue is only magnified for leaders of color who are also faced with microaggressions and racialized experiences in the workplace. According to findings from the Building Moving Project’s recent report, "Trading Glass Ceilings for Glass Cliffs: A Race To Lead Report on Nonprofit Executives of Color," leaders of color need:

  • More support, not more training and education because they already have similar levels of training as their peers

  • Increased philanthropic support and investment in their organizations

  • Greater trust and partnership with their boards, especially when succeeding White leaders

  • Improved pathways to executive leadership roles

We are responding to these needs by deepening our commitment to supporting BIPOC leaders, particularly young professionals new to executive leadership roles. I know all too well the challenges that leaders of color may face. My excitement to serve as the new executive director in a nonprofit organization was quickly dampened by the exhaustive of balancing the workplace responsibilities, emotional demands, and physical toil of leadership. Access to leadership training, professional mentorship & coaching, and a peer network made all the difference. As founder and principal at LCC, I want to ensure the leadership journey isn’t lonely for other emerging leaders, so we are expanding our services to offer professional coaching for BIPOC leaders. I welcome the opportunity to support new and emerging leaders in their journey to navigate the challenges with grace and ease and build up their leadership muscles.

We also continue to offer capacity-building consulting for nonprofit, philanthropic, and community-based organizations. Today’s political climate, unstable economic conditions, and call for more equitable practices challenge us to explore how we can drive transformation. We would welcome the opportunity to partner with you in this exploration. We specialize in developing community engagement strategies, and we are doubling down on our efforts to center the voices of lived experiences.

We also believe in operationalizing our values, especially our commitment to supporting other entrepreneurs of color. As such, we have partnered with Sammi Bivens, CEO of Digital Marketing Maven (DMM), to bring our new vision for LCC to life. The DMM team worked with us to design a website that reflects the mission, innovation, and values of Little Consulting Company. We are proud to invite you to check out our redesigned website to learn more about who we are and how we can serve you. We also invite you to book a complimentary consultation today! Let’s connect. We’d love to chat about how we can help to elevate your vision and maximize your impact.
